With the opening of its Aachen office, Drees & Sommer is further expanding its presence in North Rhine-Westphalia, making best use of the synergy effects offered by the new campus.
On Friday, December 2, Drees & Sommer Aachen, Germany celebrated the opening of its office in the imperial city with customers and business partners. The new premises are located at the heart of the RWTH Aachen University campus in the Smart Logistics Cluster. “This puts us in the center of a sort of Silicon Valley with enormous innovation potential and at the German source of ICT and digitization,” says Klaus Dederichs, who heads up the new Drees & Sommer office. “It not only gives us access to the RWTH Aachen University science labs, but also allows us to network with expert partners from industry, research and education to jointly advance future-oriented themes such as Smart Commercial Buildings and concepts for the Blue City.”
On the occasion of the opening of the new office, Marcel Philipp, Lord Mayor of Aachen, said: “In Aachen, our innovative campus project provides an excellent basis for making optimal use of the technological possibilities of the new age. This is demonstrated by the prestigious companies that will be undertaking joint research with the RWTH institutes. We are pleased that Drees & Sommer is part of it.”
